Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions set out the basis on which a service is provided by InvestSmart. By applying for the service you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions

InvestSmart is a trading style of BeaconIFA Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

There are two service options offered by InvestSmart with regards to rebating trail commission. The first is to rebate 50% back into your policies and to provide an annual review of these investments. The second is to rebate 85% if the annual review is not required.

In some cases policies either do not pay a commission, in which case no commission rebate will be payable.

In some cases it is not possible to rebate commission back into the policy. In this case we will send your rebate by cheque once a year. 

The minimum rebate is £25. If the amount is less than £25 the rebate will be carried forward into the following year.

InvestSmart is not liable for any loss of commission rebate if any product provider fails to rebate commission or is late in doing so.

In no circumstances will InvestSmart be liable to rebate more than 85% of the commission received from the product provider.

In providing the commission rebate service InvestSmart offers no advice in relation to the suitability of any existing investment and is not liable for any advice given to you previously.

InvestSmart reserves the right to refuse to act as agent for any particular customer without disclosing a reason.

If you request financial advice you will be referred to a separate service and will be subject to separate terms and conditions which you will be provided with at the time.

You can choose to rebate your commission to our chosen charity partner, Operation Smile. Where you have chosen this option your proportion of trail commission will be paid to the Charity rather than being rebated to your policies. A single payment consisting of the total of all applicable rebates during a given tax year will be paid to the charity within 3 months following the end of the given tax year. InvestSmart intends to make an annual donation to the charity from its profits.

You agree that InvestSmart may use the information that we hold about you to contact by post, telephone or e-mail to bring to your attention products or services that may be of interest to you.

InvestSmart will contact you at your last known postal or e-mail address. It is your responsibility to update us if your contact details have changed.

You can terminate our services at any time by appointing another Company as agent for your policies. InvestSmart has the right to terminate its relationship with you at any time by informing you in writing

InvestSmart take complaints seriously and has a written complaints procedure, which is available on request. If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us. If InvestSmart are unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction you have the right to refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service, 183 Marsh Wall, London E14 9SR (telephone 0800 023 4567)

We hold a Data Protection Licence. We keep records of business transactions, including customer data, for a minimum of six years. We treat all client information as confidential. You are entitled to request a copy of any records relating to you that we retain.

InvestSmart does not handle client money.
